We are a group of like-minded people, with a common interest in the age-old art of falconry, with members ranging from novices to those more seasoned and with valuable knowledge & experience in all manners of the sport: keeping and hunting with birds of prey but also breeding, education, pest control and displays.

The Yorkshire Falconry Club, originally established in 1995 and restructured in 2003, has a core of individuals who are striving to bring Falconry to a higher level, promoting quality and commitment to the sport.
We have direct contact with Defra and receive regular email updates that keep us up to date with matters arising, including AI. This means that as a club we can keep abreast with changes at government level on a wide range of discussions affecting falconers and their sport.
The aims of the Yorkshire Falconry Club are to protect and promote Falconry on a local and national level, provide help and advice to new, novice and experienced falconers and to support the activities of the Campaign for Falconry.
The wellbeing of our birds is paramount and thus we endorse the Code of Welfare and Husbandry for Falconry and encourage other falconers to follow it. You can read it here (with kind permission from A Future With Falconry):
